Medical Records Abstractor


Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize workload, and plan travel schedule.

  • Contacting healthcare providers to schedule appointments

  • On-site chart review and/or abstraction of data from medical records.

  • Input data into a laptop, and send to a secured site.

  • Providing at least weekly updates and status reports to your Project Manager or Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Healthcare experience as; PA, RN, LPN/LVN, RHIT or allied health professional.

  • Medical record review or abstraction background (1 year preferred); prefer HEDIS experience.
    Experience in a clinical care setting.

  • Ability to navigate and review medical records.

  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook.

  • Temporary position (3-6 months) with flexible work schedule.

  • Ability to travel to healthcare provider locations with some overnight travel.

  • Access to high speed internet connection.
