Supervisor, Claims Analysis and Recovery/Research


Responsibilities:

  • Manage Claims Analysis and Recovery (CAR) and Research staff to promote achievement of objectives set for the department, both from the perspective of the IMSA contract and from the perspective of HCE
  • Develop and implement methods to discover aberrant billing patterns of Indiana Health Coverage Program (IHCP) providers at the provider and systems level.
  • Coordinate processes with Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning (OMPP), EDS, and other stakeholders.
  • Document current and proposed methodologies and processes, including State cost savings, to the IMSA Director, OMPP, and other stakeholders.
  • Act as a liaison to provider and recipient communities and other stakeholders as evidenced by participation in external meetings which provide a forum for sharing concerns related to or affecting the CAR and Research functions.
  • Participates in all provider or recipient meetings as requested by management or the State.
  • Develop and utilize computer databases and other computer systems to manage claims data analysis.
  • Evaluate work performed by CAR and Research staff, and ensure adherence to State requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, health information administration, management information systems, or a health-related field.
  • Four years of recent experience working with multiple patient groups or health care delivery systems.
  • Four years of experience with Medicaid, other government health care programs, or private sector health care systems.
  • Three years of supervisory experience necessary.
  • Excellent communications skills a must.
  • Display excellent organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
